This pair of anthropomorphic terracotta bowls, masculine and feminine, is a work based on an Italian word pun with the word bowl, in Italian a noun of a female gender. The artist created a male counterpart with a new form and a new word.
The material used is red refractory soil and the author has engraved his own signature on the pieces.

Andrea Da Tos was born in Venice (Italy) in 1961 and is a self-taught artist. After graduation he worked as a visual artist, using both graphic art and photography. For several years now he has turned his interests to sculpture materialism, first with wood, then he enlarged his experimentation with other materials, in order to express his artistic and design vision. Andrea works and has a showroom in Venice, just a few steps from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
