Ceramic artist, living and working near Venice, Italy. Carola likes to create heads, mostly of women, from various ethnic groups, combining sculptural technique with what she has learned of anatomy.
Carola approached the art world a few years ago. She followed for three years a design and anatomical design courses with a real model, then the curiosity to try other paths led her to search for a pottery class.
She learned the various cooking techniques and then attended a modeling school. Carola identified from the earliest lessons what she liked to create: heads mostly of women from various ethnic groups, combining sculptural technique with what she had learned in anatomy.
Carola prefers to use the classic red and dark brown marl and the white semi-refractory.
